How we handle your information
This system holds information about children, so it is worth being plain about what happens to it.
This website collects information about prospective students and their families for the purpose of processing admission enquiries and applications.
Information you provide is visible only to you and to authorised staff of The Science School. Application documents are stored privately and are never published. Medical and welfare information is collected so the school can care for your child appropriately, and is used for no other purpose.
You may ask the school to correct or remove your information by contacting the admissions office.
Who can see what
- You can see your own profile, your own applications and enquiries, your own uploaded documents, and your own messages. Nothing belonging to another family is reachable from your account.
- Authorised school staff can see the applications and enquiries they need for their role. A member of staff who manages photographs, for example, cannot open an application at all.
- Nobody else. Applications, medical information, addresses, phone numbers, uploaded documents and internal notes are never published on the public website.
Documents you upload
Files you attach to an application — a birth certificate, a school report, a passport photograph — are held in private storage. They are not on the public website and cannot be reached by guessing a web address. When a member of the admissions team opens one, the link that is created works only for them and only for a few minutes.
Health and welfare information
We ask about health and welfare so that the school can look after your child properly — for example around allergies, medication and dietary needs. Only authorised staff can see these answers, and they are never published or shared outside the school. Answer "None" wherever it applies.
Photographs on this website
Photographs in the gallery are published by the school. An image is only visible to the public once a member of staff has explicitly published it, and it can be hidden again at any time. If you would prefer a photograph of your child not to appear, please tell the school and it will be taken down.
Keeping a record
The school keeps a log of actions taken by staff inside the admissions system — who opened an application, who changed its status, who downloaded it. This exists to protect families, not to monitor them, and only a senior administrator can read it.
Correcting or removing your information
You can edit your own profile at any time from your portal, and you can change a draft application until you submit it. To correct a submitted application, or to ask the school to remove your information, contact The Science School, Abuja.
